On February 26th, 2nd grade wrapped up their Civil War unit with a lesson about the Juneteenth celebration. We learned about its historical importance and tie into the Civil War.
The next unit is all about Immigration. Our first lesson focused on the U.S. motto ‘E Pluribus Unum’ • out of many one. The students are excited to check coins or dollar bills for this motto.
Students are excited to chat with their family history and where their ancestors immigrated from.
