Dear Grantsburg Families,
As we prepare for the start of the school year, I wanted to provide you with an update on our construction process and how it will affect pick-up and drop-off around each of our schools.
Below are some important items to know about our pickup and drop-off procedures:
At each building, we will have bus-only zones from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. No cars will be allowed during these times. Please be aware of buses and provide them the right of way when dropping off or picking up students.
When dropping off high school students at the peninsula, please use the East entrance only.
Middle school parents should pickup and drop off students in front of the building at the main entrance. For pickup, please do not arrive before 3:15 p.m. due to traffic congestion.
Elementary parents should not arrive before 3:15 p.m. to avoid traffic congestion.
To assist in explaining the parking and traffic procedures for the Fall of 2023, please reference the following video clips on the Grantsburg School District YouTube site:

These projects are made possible thanks to the capital referendum our community approved in spring 2022. Plans call for expanding our elementary school, updating classrooms and/or common spaces at the middle school and the high school, making repairs to building systems, and improving the flow of traffic around our entire campus.
We are extremely grateful for your patience and understanding as we make way for these improvements to our schools. If you would like more detailed information about the components of the referendum or the planning and design process, please visit https://www.referendum.gk12.net.
We appreciate the support of our community and your investment in our schools, our staff, and our students. We will continue to update you on our progress and look forward to having all projects completed for the opening of the 2024-25 school year.
Sincerely,
Josh Watt
Superintendent
