Grantsburg High School

Grantsburg High School had the incredible opportunity to welcome Sam Okello and the @Mizizi Ensemble, Uganda’s premier performing group, as they shared their powerful message of unity through music. This visit was part of a cultural exchange that began in the summer of 2024, when a team of music teachers and professors from northern Wisconsin and Minnesota traveled to Uganda, bringing music from our culture to share and learn from one another. 🎼🌎

During their time in Wisconsin this winter, the Mizizi Ensemble toured schools and communities, spreading their love of music and braving the Wisconsin weather. We were honored to have them perform for our High School Music and International Club students, creating unforgettable moments of connection and learning.
